Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport is a public airport two miles northwest of Mount Pocono, in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. It is owned by the Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport Authority.

Pocono Mountains Regional Airport (KMPO) and its governing body, the Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport Authority actively seek ways in which the airport facilities can be utilized to help support the local community and regional charities. The airport has hosted various Fly-In / Drive-In community events over more than 25 years. ​

 

If you are considering supporting any of the airport's charitable events, you should know that donations made to a Governmental Entity may be treated as tax deductible charitable contributions under Section 170 (c)1 of the Internal Revenue Code. This information is provided as guidance, but as always, consult your tax advisor to ensure proper recognition of any contributions made. ​

 

Please note that contributions must be made directly to the Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport Authority as the qualifying governmental organization.

We understand the value and importance of holding public events that help provide support for the Monroe County community, while promoting a positive image for our airport. The links below provide access to helpful information and documents for any organization seeking to apply for use of the airport’s grounds to hold a public event. Applicants are encouraged to provide as much information as possible about their proposed event when submitting this application.

 

This policy applies to all external parties or organizations seeking a license to host an event within the premises of KMPO, including, but not limited to: Fund Raising Events; Promotional Activities; Cultural, Educational, or Entertainment events.
